AFTER ACTION REPORT

July Fourth Parade, Needham, MA

July 4th weekend, the regiment marched in the Needham Fourth of July Parade. Having now marched in this particular parade four times, I can honestly say that this was the most enjoyable yet! Ordinarily, this parade starts out un-comfortable and ends a complete nightmare, with what remains of the regiment desperately shambling to the food stands for the complementary hot dog, chips, and water bottles. However, this year’s parade saw an overcast sky and temperatures in the low 70s. The result was a fairly comfortable and quick march through Needham, despite a bit of a slow start. In such conditions, all companies were able to maintain a good appearance throughout the parade. Still didn’t get a free hamburger at the end though...
