HM TENTH FOOT

Escape from Boston, May 20 - 21, 2017

Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm, Newbury, MA

Information for Reenactors

THE SCENE: May 1775, barely one month after the battles of Lexington and Concord, and the British Regulars are besieged in Boston, surrounded by thousands of local militia and Minutemen in a line that stretches for many miles. This is General Gage’s one shot at breaking through the siege line with his mighty Regulars. He picks what he perceives to be the weakest part of the line and hits it hard. The battle that ensues will determine if he is a hero for the crown, or a goat!

Join us at the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm in Newbury, Massachusetts for “Escape From Boston,” a weekend encampment and battle scenarios that play out this “what-if" alternate history scheme that might have changed the course of the American Revolution.

The 230 acre Spencer-Peirce-Little farm is located in the beautiful seaside town of Newbury, MA. and is one of the crown jewels in Historic New England’s stable of historic properties. The ground is level and offers plenty of open space for battle scenarios. Plenty of wood, hay, and water will be available, as well as flush toilets during the daytime.

There also will be a multitude of sutlers and colonial demonstrators, as well as modern food vendors, a Meadery selling locally made mead, and an Ipswich Ale tent. Saturday night, there will be a tavern featuring a number of varieties of Ipswich Ale and local foods and libations.
